Rogo Scott are proud to be supporting Dulwich Hamlet Football Club during their first campaign in the Vanarama National League South following their promotion via the play-offs from the Bostik League Premier Division in May.
The Hamlet made national headlines last season both on and off the pitch after winning the play-offs at the fourth attempt having gone head to head with big-spending Billericay Town but also for fighting a rear guard action against property developers Meadow Residential. After years of trying to seek approval for their plans to develop the site on which the stadium sits Meadow withdrew their application and instead evicted the club from their home ground, submitted claims to the club for back rent they suddenly claimed were owed and even engaged solicitors Blake Morgan to support them in their efforts to prevent the club from continuing to use the name they have played under for 125 years.
“The story of how the chairman Liam Hickey and the manager Gavin Rose led the club and the team in the face of such adversity deserves to be told one day but right now there’s a future to plan for and we were pleased when the opportunity arose to demonstrate our support for their efforts and play our part in helping the whole club succeed at the next level.” said Ben Clasper, partner and CEO, Rogo Scott.
The Rogo Scott team are already planning their trips to the KNK stadium courtesy of (hopefully) temporary hosts Tooting and Mitcham FC and away days further afield and look forward to welcoming more guests from the media and entertainment industry having already secured our first Los Angeles resident season ticket holder last year.
